2. Different performance
YT-type cemented carbide has good wear resistance, decreased bending strength, grinding performance, and thermal conductivity, while YG-type cemented carbide has good toughness, good grinding performance, and good thermal conductivity, but its wear resistance is higher than that of YT-type cemented carbide. much worse
3. Different scope of use
YT-type cemented carbide is suitable for high-speed cutting of general steel due to its high low temperature brittleness, while YG-type cemented carbide is used for processing brittle materials (such as cast iron) non-ferrous metals and alloy steels.
